It's a matter of pride and honour that Vidya Bharti is one of the biggest Non-

Government organization in the world. Our aim is the overall development of a child on the basis of Indian culture. Various state committees are running more than 15000 institutions from primary to higher education institutes, training colleges and research centers under the guidance of this organization. Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti Uttarakhand manages the secondary education in our state.

Fortunately our school Vivekanand Vidya Mandir Inter College Pithoragarh is affiliated

to the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan Vidya Bharti and running under the guidance of

Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti Uttarakhand.

This school was established in July 1972 up to junior high-school. Later in 1994 it was

upgraded to high-school and in July 2000 it was again upgraded to Intermediate. Currently

the school holds the classes from class 6th to 12th and around 1000 students are studying

and making their life successful.

Our Aim

To develop such a healthy personality attached with Indian soil who can accept the

challenges in life. One who can grab the world's scientific knowledge and can find the

intimacy among the poor hill people, woodsmen brothers and sisters.

Educational Features:

Teaching Learning Process in a natural but confident environment with the help of

mother tongue Hindi. A child can understand and solve his problems with the help of mother tongue under the guidance of qualified teachers.

Besides a strong mother tongue, a child should also have the knowledge of other

languages. So there is an excellent teaching process in English and Sanskrit languages and also guidance and motivation for the communication in these languages.

Assembly

School Teaching-Learning process begins with the prayer of 'Maa Sharda'. Our prayer

is based on meditation, yoga and characteristic values by which the heart remains calm and concentrated and moral values are developed.

Co-Curricular Activities

Physical, Yoga, Scout, Red-cross, NSS, Education tours and cultural programs for the all-

around development of a child. Attributed prayer assembly and moral education related to our society, country, environment and culture to develop traits and skills in students.

Competitions

Special Arrangements and practice for board exams and various scholarship

programs. Ability based scholarships are received by the students of our school. It's a matter of pride for school that every year students are selected in management, engineering & medical exams. Many ex-students are working in different sections of the society. Some of them are successful businessmen and social workers.

Development of Scientific Attitude:

Special arrangement to teach science

Organizing science fair competition, quiz competition, model competition, chart

competition, essays competition etc. Competitions are held for developing scientific attitude among the students. Students secure places in regional, state and national level

competitions, organized by Bal Vigyan Congress.

"A" grade certificate has received from secondary education board of Uttarakhand.

The school has received admiration letters from state teachers union and other voluntary

organizations. Besides this the school has received Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay award from

Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad.

Computer Education

1. Well furnished computer laboratory, equipped with projectors.

2. Students get separate computer for practice. Computer teaching is focused on

practical.

3. All computers are connected to Wi-fi.

4. Generator system is available to get rid of power cut problem.

Infrastructure

1. School building and big auditorium is constructed in 22 nali area provided by the

amicable people of the town. The foundation stone laying of the school was done in

1978 by Kumaon commissioner Mr. Gopi Krishna Arora. The new building was

inaugurated by Kshetriya Santhan Mantri U.P., Mr. Prakash ji on Feb 12, 1995.

2. Airy and spacious classrooms, well-furnished mathematics and science labs and

computer lab, constructed by experienced architect Mr. D. L. Shah.

3. A big auditorium for prayer, meetings, seminars, cultural activities and other co-

curricular activities.

4. A spacious library with equipped with books on all subjects like engineering medical,

NDA, Air Force, moral values, culture, encyclopedia, story books, subject books, news

papers, research books etc. Library has a separate reading room having the seating

capacity for more than 60 students.

Laboratories

1. Separate, well furnished and well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and

Mathematics.

2. Well furnished computer lab with projectors where every student get separate

computer for practical.

3. Wi-fi facility is also available.
 

Teachers Training

Time to time Vida Bharti Organizes different training programs for teachers to

develop and update their teaching techniques. The school management invites many

educationalist and experts for this work.

Leadership Development

For developing leadership ability and responsibility we form students houses, student

parliament and performance on stage for the students to cultivate the feelings of self-

motivation, self-discipling and confidence. We focus on discipline, dedication and devotion.

Special Teaching classes

School doesn't focus on tuitions. If necessary, school organizes extra classes on

holidays and after/before school time without extra charges.

Bus facility is available from all interior and micro-interior places and local city of

Pithoragarh like Bans, Mostamanu, Wadda, Arkini, Simalkot, Aath Gaon Shiling, Kanthgaon,

The school is affiliated to Board of school education Uttarakhand in science and

commerce stream. As per the demand of parents the school is shortly taking the affiliation of

CBSE New Delhi in the near future.
